Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) the driver will meet you holding a JELANI TRAVEL sign. You’ll be transferred to Social House Nairobi, a chic and vibrant boutique hotel located in the lively Lavington neighborhood. Take some time to relax and refresh after your flight.

In the evening, join your fellow travelers for a meet & greet at the hotel’s signature rooftop bar, which boasts panoramic views of the city. Sample cocktails and tapas while soaking in the Nairobi skyline. Try a Dawa cocktail—a refreshing Kenyan classic made with honey, lime, and vodka.

Great Rift Valley + Safari Experience

🛏️ TBD

📍 Maasai Mara National Park

🍽 Included Meal(s): Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner (drinks not included)

After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic drive toward Maasai Mara National Park, with a stop at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint. This iconic spot offers breathtaking panoramic views, so have your camera ready for spectacular photo ops.

Arrive at the Mara Camp, a safari lodge surrounded by the untamed beauty of the savannah.

In the afternoon, embark on an exhilarating safari game drive across the Maasai Mara plains. Keep your eyes peeled for lions, elephants, zebras, and cheetahs in their natural habitat. The golden sunset over the vast grasslands creates a magical atmosphere as you capture unforgettable moments.

Travel Tip: Carry a light jacket or scarf as the temperatures can drop during evening game drives. Bring binoculars for a closer look at the wildlife, and wear neutral colors like beige, green, or khaki to blend in with the environment.

You will pack only an overnight bag for this event. The rest of your luggage will be stored securely at The Social House until your return tomorrow.

Day 4 Maasai Village

Day 4 Maasai Village image

Maasai Village Cultural Tour and Market Shopping

🛏️ The Social House

📍 Nairobi

🍽 Included Meal(s): Breakfast, Lunch (drinks not included)

Take a guided tour to a local Maasai village. Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of the Maasai people, famous for their distinctive dress, intricate beadwork, and warm hospitality. Learn about their traditions, daily life, and age-old rituals.

Enjoy a captivating cultural dance performance and witness the famous Maasai jumping dance, a symbol of strength and pride. You’ll also have the opportunity to purchase authentic, handcrafted beadwork and jewelry at the local market—perfect keepsakes to take home!

Return to Nairobi in the late afternoon, where you’ll have time to unwind at Social House or explore the vibrant nightlife nearby.

Travel Tip: When shopping at the Maasai village market, expect vendors to be very enthusiastic about selling their handmade crafts. If you're not interested in an item, a polite but firm "Hapana, asante" (no thank you) is best—then continue browsing without engaging further. Bargaining is part of the experience, so don’t hesitate to negotiate. Settle on a price that feels fair and comfortable for you, and remember that your purchase supports the local community.
